Artículo – Cuatro Tipos de Participantes en la Reunión

Puede ser difícil tratar con los diversos tipos de personalidad, niveles de experiencia y diferentes antecedentes de los participantes de la reunión. No siempre se puede predecir cuál será su reacción, y puede que no se sepa de antemano quiénes asistirán, pero aun así se puede preparar. Una forma es entendiendo los cuatro tipos generales de participantes de la reunión que es probable que encuentre y la mejor manera de interactuar con ellos. También puede encontrar grupos enteros que tienen estas características – la respuesta es la misma.

El participante hosti

lA veces a un participante de la reunión no le gusta tanto. Pueden ser abiertamente hostiles o abiertamente agresivos. El truco es lidiar con su hostilidad lo más rápido posible y ponerlos de su lado.

  • Establecer reglas de combate, mantener el control de la reunión, y mantenerla en marcha.
  • Desafíelos si sabe que están equivocados o tienen pruebas incompletas. No los humille, ilumínelos con la verdad o el resto de la historia.
  • Use el humor para desarmarlos, pero no sacrifique o socave su autoridad como expositor.
  • Use historias y hechos.

El crítico

Los participantes críticos se consideran inteligentes, probablemente más inteligentes que usted. Serán escépticos con la información y buscarán activamente maneras de refutar lo que estás diciendo.

  • Presénteles hechos duros y fríos. Lo que significa que tendrá que hacer su investigación y estar preparado.
  • No exagere. Use ejemplos simples y poderosos para comunicar su mensaje.

El participante desinformado

Lea el nivel de conocimiento, experiencia y habilidad de sus participantes para que pueda involucrar a los participantes de todo el espectro.

  • Interrogue a la audiencia para averiguar lo que saben y lo que no saben.
  • Ofrezca algunos datos básicos para ayudar a llenar los huecos – hágalo al principio y a lo largo de la reunión según sea necesario.

Si hay una gran brecha en los conocimientos, la experiencia y la habilidad, por ejemplo una reunión con una mezcla de trabajadores recién contratados y veteranos, considere la posibilidad de dividir el grupo en grupos más uniformes y adapte la información a cada grupo.

Participante simpatizante

Los participantes simpatizantes son sus aliados contra los hostiles y críticos. También pueden ayudarle a ganarles a los cínicos y a ayudar a los desinformados.

  • Apelar a lo que tienen en común y a cómo se parecen para ayudar a crear y fortalecer su vínculo.
  • Pero sea sincero o perderá su simpatía rápidamente.
