While it’s admirable to reduce, re-use and recycle, re-purposing food or drink containers as storage containers for chemicals poses a huge hazard in the workplace. It’s too easy for co-workers to ‘borrow’ what they believe is a drink, or in this case a condiment, and find out too late that they have ingested poison. This salad dressing container has been re-labeled, but it’s still not safe to have sitting around the workplace, because the new label, written on masking tape, could fall off, fade, or simply not be seen before some of the contents have been consumed.
