The Somerset Mill in Skowhegan, ME, was issued repeat citations for unguarded open-sided floors and platforms, unguarded in-running nip points on paper machines, defective guarding of a saw, uncovered revolving shaft couplings and an unguarded conveyor drum. Fourteen serious citations were also issued for alleged hazards including fall hazards, unguarded floor and wall openings, work areas not kept in a sanitary and orderly condition, unsecured materials in storage racks, inadequate work space around electrical equipment, ineffectively closed electrical panel openings, a jagged railing and unguarded moving machine parts.
