Esta imagen muestra un elevador de tijera subiendo dentro de un almacén durante una instalación rutinaria de luminarias. El operador hace lo que hace en cada turno — ojos fijos en la luz de arriba, mano firme en el control. Lo que el operador no puede ver es la viga de acero que cruza el camino de desplazamiento justo detrás de su cabeza, medio oculta por conductos y cableado. No hay un observador en el suelo. Revisa todo el camino antes de elevar la plataforma. Identifica cada obstáculo aéreo. Mantén tu cabeza y cuerpo alejados de la baranda superior al subir. Detente, baja y reposiciona en lugar de extenderte. El espacio aéreo no perdona la complacencia.
