The cold storage area of a food warehouse was the scene of a forklift fatality.
The victim was working from a standup forklift when he backed into a chain. His neck was pinned between the forklift and the chain. A co-worker found him dead.
As common as they are, forklifts can kill workers. Even small lift trucks used for picking stock or moving goods at wholesale outlets can kill a worker or bystander. Proper training and supervision are vital for anyone who uses a forklift.
