Delayed Evacuation During Fire Alarm
During a morning program, a fire alarm sounded. One classroom evacuated immediately. Another delayed while staff confirmed whether it was a drill.
No fire was present, but the review identified inconsistent expectations and unclear roles. Procedures were updated to require immediate evacuation for all alarms and clearer role assignments.
The incident showed how hesitation during drills can become dangerous during real emergencies.
