¿QUE ESTÁ EN RIESGO?

¿Sufre de agotamiento? ¿Puede reconocer los síntomas? Si es así, ¿sabe cómo arreglarlo?

¿CUÁL ES EL PELIGRO?

El agotamiento no es simplemente sentirse agotado al final de la semana o tener un mal día o dos. Los días llenos de estrés son comunes para muchas personas. Pero el estrés constante puede llevar al agotamiento, un estado persistente de sentirse desesperado, resentido e impotente, que produce respuestas físicas y emocionales.

Ejemplo

Los síntomas físicos pueden incluir agotamiento y dificultad para dormir y comer. Los síntomas emocionales pueden incluir tristeza, ira, indiferencia o una sensación de malestar en la boca del estómago desde el momento en que llega al trabajo. Si no se le da tratamiento, el agotamiento puede provocar graves problemas de salud.

COMO PROTEGERSE

Las señales de advertencia de que podrían estar dirigiéndole al agotamiento incluyen:

  • La ansiedad ante la idea de ir a trabajar
  • Una falta de ambición
  • La irritación alrededor de los compañeros de trabajo
  • Baja energía en el trabajo
  • Cambio en los hábitos de sueño
  • Cambio en los hábitos alimenticios
  • Tener dificultades para tomar decisiones…
  • Postergar

10 formas de combatir con el agotamiento

Afortunadamente, estar en el camino del agotamiento no significa que tenga que terminar el viaje. Hay medidas que puede tomar para cambiar la situación.

  1. Consulte a su médico para determinar si su salud se está viendo afectada y lo que necesita hacer al respecto, como abordar la hipertensión o el insomnio.
  2. Mire otros aspectos de su vida. ¿Está comiendo bien? ¿Bebe o fuma demasiado? ¿No hace suficiente ejercicio? Tomar algunas decisiones importantes en el estilo de vida puede marcar una gran diferencia en la forma de ver la vida.
  3. Si se siente abrumado por el trabajo, escriba todas las tareas que está haciendo actualmente y lleve la lista a su supervisor para ayudar a priorizar las tareas más importantes.
  4. Mire bien su personalidad. ¿Es usted un perfeccionista? ¿Eso le frena y le hace sentir abrumado? ¿Le falta asertividad y deja que la gente le pisotee?
  5. Distánciese de los compañeros de trabajo irritantes. Hable con amigos de confianza para ayudar a cambiar su actitud.
  6. Intente hacer todo un poco más despacio. Además de trabajar a un ritmo más razonable, intente caminar, hablar, conducir y comer más despacio.
  7. Diga “no”, especialmente para preocuparse. Si es necesario, reserve 20 minutos al día para preocuparse. Cada vez que aparezca un pensamiento preocupante, tómese un momento para escribirlo y luego sáquelo de su mente. Al final de cada día, tómese 20 minutos para repasar sus notas. Esto le ayuda a poner un límite a la preocupación.
  8. Planee cosas divertidas para esperar. Mantenga el equilibrio en su vida entre la familia, el trabajo y el juego. Asegúrese de entrar en el juego.
  9. Si todo parece todavía demasiado, hable con su médico o vea a un consejero.
  10. Concéntrese en un pequeño paso a la vez. No intente arreglar todo de una vez.
